Healthy Smoothie Recipes...

In our effort to get leaner and live healthier, we try to find the
best ways to achieve our goals. But just because you’re eating
better and living healthier, doesn’t mean you have to give up
taste.      Does it?

When you consider what your fruit and vegetable requirements

are in a given day, it seems almost impossible to meet this goal.
I mean, how on earth can one person possibly eat that many
fruits and vegies?

Well, by incorporating certain things, such as smoothies, into

your daily diet, you can get a good portion of your daily fruits
and vegetables, while enjoying a delicious break from eating
raw broccoli and boring apples.

Now if by chance you have never had a smoothies, or made your own before, you`re in for a healthy, delicious treat. Plus it`s

an  excellent way to get your fruits and vegetables.

Usually, when you order a smoothies from your favorite shop,

they start with ice cream.  However, this isn`t the healthiest way to go.

Instead, start with a liquid, such as orange juice, papaya juice,

low fat milk or even yogurt and just pour it into your blender.
This will create a nice thick foundation loaded with nutrients
and is a delicious start.

Add All The Fruit You Want.

Start off with fruits that you are familiar with, such as bananas,
strawberries, and blueberries. This way you know that you are
drinking a flavor that you are already familiar with and like,
and are more likely to drink it all. Thus getting your daily
quotient of fruits.

Take It To The Next Level.

Try adding a different fruit each time and see just what you can
come up with. Who knows, you may find something that you

really enjoy.

Some other fruits that are great in smoothies include,

pineapple, mango, raspberries, peaches, apricots and one
of my favorites, kiwi.

With the abundance of nutrients in the smoothies that you create, you could even drink a smoothie and make it a meal.

That`s right. With smoothies being loaded with nutrients, a smoothie can be an excellent breakfast alternative, and can even take the place of lunch or dinner.

Experiment and have fun with it. Find a few that you really enjoy and then stick with them.
